The ninth annual Denbigh Carnival will place on Saturday 24th June 2023 and ttheme to be confirmed.

Here’s all the info that you will find useful if you are planning to come along!

The royalty will be chosen in the new year.

Venders are welcome to contact us for pitches NOW.

The Carnival starts at 11am with an impressive procession which will see floats, walking parties in fancy dress, marching bands and the Carnival Royal Retinue travel down from Caledfryn (Denbighshire County Council’s offices) on Smithfield Road, across Lenten Pool and the High Street, into Vale Street before turning into the Carnival field (Middle Parc) via Park Street.

If you are taking part in the procession, please be at Caledfryn by 10.30am at the very latest. There will be toilets available in the offices.

Please remember that from approximately 10.50am, the roads affected will be closed temporarily, to ensure that everyone can pass safely.  Please plan your journeys to minimise disruption to your day.  And thank you in advance for your patience with our marshals at the junctions whilst the roads are closed.  We appreciate it!

There are loads of great viewpoints along the route, so please do support and cheer on those taking part.

The Carnival itself takes part on Middle Parc playing fields, behind Denbigh Infirmary and adjacent to Denbigh Town FC.  The easiest pedestrian access is via Park Street.

Entry to the field is FREE FOR EVERYONE.  So, you don’t need to pay anything to come and enjoy the day.

For those travelling into Denbigh by car, parking is restricted in the vicinity of the Carnival but there will be parking available in the Leisure Centre, Plas Pigot, Myddelton College and local car parks.  Any cars parked illegally in the vicinity of the Carnival are liable to be clamped, subject to fines or towed by Police, so please park considerately.  We also urge everyone to be mindful of parking restrictions locally.  Disabled parking can only be booked in advance.

You could also be lucky and win one of our brilliant raffle prizes, so remember to purchase your raffle tickets at the gate.  All funds raised via our raffle are used to keep Denbigh Carnival free entry for everyone.
